TAYLOR V. McALLISTER
Frank Taylor has his great chance when he meets Billy McAllister, bantam-weight champion of Australia, at Wellington on Monday evening. There is no reason at all why Taylor should not put up a good showing against the Australian. He has not been conspicuously successful as a professional. but this is due mainly to him having to concede weight. lie generally fights at about Sst 111 b, and the only professional he has so far met in that class is Teddy Green, flyweight champion of Australia. On that occasion there was little in it at the end. and the decision, which went to Green, should no doubt have been a draw. On Monday Taylor will probably give away a few pounds in weight, which is a big handicap against such a high class performer as McAllister, but nevertheless Taylor will do all that he can to win the decision. lie has been in hard training at the fire station gymnasium, and is in the pink of condition.
