A woman in the bus received a severe shaking and is is said to be suffering from shock. The bus escaped with slight damage. The driver of the car, Mr. H. Lord, was coming up Alten Road toward the city, in second gear, and saw the bus coming down Anzac Avenue at a fair speed. Thinking he would pass behind the bus, Mr. Lord kept on, but the bus sloped down slightly, and -he struck it in the centre. The bus swerved to avoid the collision and applied both brakes immediately, but without effect. The damage to the car is estimated at approximately £ls.
