A NOVELTY THAT XMAS BRINGS IT’S MADE OF GLASS Manufacturers are growing up, and presenting to the shops for this Christmas sales beautiful and useful gifts that far outshine the gay and senseless goods that have previously adorned the shop windows. The moveable toilet table is a striking example of the rare combination of novelty aiid usefulness. Christmas goods do not include those things which are seen in any shop any day, but special efforts of the year revealed for the festival surprise. And the best surprise so far is the toilet table, which can be carried lock, stock and barrel, from this room to that. A tall swing mirror is attached, to a shallow glass tray and at the sides of the mirror are two large bottles suitable for scents or vanity lotions. With a fine lace cloth on the tray, together with two or three small glass bowls made to match, what more could be wanted in the shape of a dressing-table. One great advantage of this new piece of furniture or glass is that there is no difficulty in placing it where the light is best —a thing that cannot be done with heavy dressing
