PAPATOETOE PREFERS LATTER Just before the conclusion of the speeches of two of the candidates for the Hauraki electorate last evening, the shriek of the fire siren rent the air, and both the Central Theatre and Town Hall were emptied of their large audiences in a couple of minutes. The fire brigade turned out within a couple of minutes, but were unable to find an outbreak.
