A PAL WORTH KNOWING

ON the opening day at Addington Mate O’ Mine just topped off Vesuvius, going 4.32 t-5. Next time out Vesuvius registered 4.26 2-5 for a win, Mate O’ Mine not being a starter. On the final day the latter off a 4.32 mark was beaten into second place by Acre, and recorded 4.29 1-5, while Vesuvius off the front of a 4.27 handicap went a great race among the Cup horses. Mate O' Mine’s form is consistently j good, and he should make a creditable showing in the big race at the Otahuhu fixture.
