POWER FROM RIVER DEE
BIG HYDRO-ELECTRIC SCHEME British Official Wireless. Reed. 12.45 p.m. RUGBY, Tues. A syndicate has been formed to establish an important hydro-electric power scheme, involving a capital of several millions, in Galloway, a district of South-Western Scotland. The Electricity Board will control the scheme, which will include five power stations. The River Dee will be the principal waterway to be harnessed, but all lochs, including Loch Doou, and its tributaries are, according to reports, to he utilised. It is proposed that the electrical power generated will be carried to industrial centres absorbing the existing small organisations.
