INTER-HOUSE SPORTS
SATURDAY’S PROGRAMME BRILLIANT DISPLAY ANTICIPATED Weather permitting, many thousands would have been enthusiastic spectators at the fifth annual inter-house girls’ sports last Saturday- at Carlaw Park. The weather is the only element ever left to chance in the organisation of the sports, and next Saturday should be another record day in the annals of the movement. The general excellence of tlie, diverse programme submitted each year will be enhanced by elaboration of the physical drill display, which is one of real beauty and poetry of motion. Four teams will compete for final > points namely, Greer’s, Milne and Choyce, Smith apd Caughey and George Court’s. The general excellence of the teams is such that a keen competition will result, and whichever team wins will indeed be outstanding. Tho competition will be followed as last year W’ith a grand display by the twelve competing teams. This alone should be worth going a long way to Tho Girls’ Brigade last year was cheered by many thousands for its splendid display. This year the girls are delightful in many graceful evolutions—all new movements. The team games, house relays, 75yds. championships, as well as the other individual items, are sure to provide keen interest, and a great day’s sport is assured for aIL
