RIALTO, AND REGENT, EPSOM
“PARTNERS IN CRIME” ‘‘Vanity,’* a thrilling swift-moving drama, will bo shown at the Rialto and Regent (Epsom) Theatres this evening, starring Leatrice Joy. “Vanity” deals with a debutante reared to regard life as a carefully matched pattern with certain standards by which all people may be judged. Always she has done the correct thing, but on the eve of her wedding she follows a mad impulse, believing that no one will ever know. Unpleasant results follow and Barbara learns the futility of vanity, finding that human nature reacts according to environment. Even murder becomes understandable to her. The latest Wallace Beery and Raymond Hatton comedy, "Partners in Crime,” is the second attraction. Beery Plays the part of a dull detective in this picture, and Hatton is an oversharp reporter.

Now completed and waiting for its initial screening. “Shiraz” is expected to make a big impression because of the unusual and daring theme chosen for this all-Indian production. “Shiraz ls said to be among the most beautiful and spectacular films yet produced. ' Vl th the Taj Mahal as its background und the entire cast consisting of Indian Players, ti should strike a novel note in appeal.
