HUNTLY MINERS SAVE HOUR OF DAYLIGHT
NEW RAILWAY TIME-TABLE The Huntly cokl miners have decided to save an hour of daylight instead of the half-hour which was granted bv Parliament. They consider that last year’s arrangement worked quite well and after consultation came to an agreement on a whole hour again this year. This meant that the trains running between the mine and Huntly would have to be altered and a request for a reorganised time-table was made to the Railway Department by the Miners* Union. The request was acceeded to by the railway people, and from to-day the* new time-table came into operation on the Glen Afton-Huntly line to meet the wishes of the miners.
