T’HE Riga correspondent of “The Times” reports that fire * demolished a building at Voroness during a children’s cinema session. The operators jumped through the windows, but numbers of children perished. Many charred bodies have been recovered. There were tragic scenes around the doorway, at which distracted parents outside fought to enter to rescue their children, blocking the latters’ egress. The fire brigade arrived late.
