LIB-LAB APPLAUDED

NEW MAN FOR BAY OF ISLANDS (From Our Own Correspondent) OKAIHAU, To-day. Mr. R. E. Hornblow, independent Liberal-Labour candidate for the Bay of Islands seat, opened his campaign to an audience of nearly 200 last evening. He received an excellent hearing and his address was punctuated with considerable applause. He trenchantly criticised the Government, outlining its failures and giving remedies. He said he would vote Reform out, and advocated a coalition of Liberals and Labour. A vote of thanks and confidence, moved by the secretary of the Labour branch, was carried unanimously, amid prolonged applause.
