WAITOMO SEAT

REFORM CANDIDATE ACTIVE (From Our Own Correspondent) TE KUITI, Thursday. Mr. F. C. Rolleston, Reform candidate for Waitomo, has, during the past few days, been busy in the Kawhia district. At Awaroa he met the settlers from Hauturu and Kauri Valley. A large and representative gathering at Kawhia was presided over by Mr. Jonathan, chairman of

the Town Board. Numerous questions were satisfactorily replied to, and a vote of thanks was carried by acclamation. At Oparau on Tuesday, Mr. Sandelins, County Council member, presided over a well-attended meeting. Mr. Rolleston was complimented on the manner in which he, in co-operation with Mr. Stewart Reid, had helped the council. A vote of thanks and confidence, proposed by Mr. G. McKenzie, and seconded by Mr. Beatson, was carried unanimously. Te Rau-a-moa was also visited and a meeting held, over which Mr. Hogarth presided. Mr. Rolleston speaks at Te Awamutu on Friday.
