POPULAR VICTORY
pAGEANT, the five-year-old son of Logan Pointer, was a good winner last season for his Well•ngton owners, Messrs. Armstrong and Johnston, netting a sum that was only half a century off four hgures. His first victory was secured at Greymouth, and this was followed up with a victory at Hutt Park, where he also ran second jvep two miles. A good finish into third place at Hawera in the W*iPlains Handicap was the forerunners of splendid performances at Alexandra Park in June.
