DISPLAY OF FRUIT. —The Empire Marketing Board has engaged 2,000 square feet of space at the Grocers’ Exhibition at Islington, which will be opened on September 22. The display of Empire grocery products will include Australian and New Zealand dried, bottled, canned and fresh fruits, and Australian wines.—A. and N.Z.PA. ITALIA INQUIRY. —A committee has been appointed in Italy to investigate the Italia’s Arctic expedition and the wreck of the airship. It comprises Admiral Cagni, chairman; General Aemani. Air Chief, General Staff; Admiral di Piraino; Dr. Molinelli and General Vacchelli, director of the Military and Geographical Institute. —A. and N.Z.-P.A. LONDON’S SHIPPING.—The 19tli annual report of the Port of London Authority says the total tonnage of vessels which entered and left the port °f London from and to foreign countries and British possessions, and coastwise, in the year ended December 31. 1927. was 52,576,755, compared with 49.278.173 in 1926.
