Mr. C. J. Tunks was a passenger for Wellington by the Limited last evening. The Hon. G. W. Russell arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Mr. G. McMillan returned to Auckland this morning after a visit to the South. Messrs. M. Toose and R. Callender Irft the Limited this morning at Frankton Junction. Archbishop Averill, Primate of New Zealand, left for Wellington by the Limited last evening. Canon H. K. Archdall, headmaster of King’s College, returned to Auckland this morning by the Limited. Mr. A. Harris, M.P., left for Wellington last evening after spending the week-end in Auckland. The Hon. T. Shailer Weston, M.L.C., arrived from Wellington this morning t>y the Limited. Mr. T. E. Thompson, assistant-tele-graph engineer at Hamilton, has been transferred on promotion to Dunedin. The Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, who spent the week-end in Hamilton, returned to Wellington last evening. Mr. P. R. Angus, assistant chief mechanical engineer, New Zealand Railways, arrived in Auckland this morning from Wellington. Mr. S. E. Fay, operating and equipment assistant to the New Zealand Railways, arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Miss Frances Rudall, 13. Sc. in Home Science, left by the Marama for Sydney, where she will take up her position as a member of the Presbyterian Girls’ College. Captain M. McKLechnie, Auckland Regiment, and Mr. J. W. Hoskin, late lieutenant, North Auckland Mounted Rifles, have been awarded the Colonial Auxiliary Forces Long Service Medal. Sir Maui Pomare arrived at Huntly this morning and proceeded to Huntly West to meet the natives of the Western Maori electorate. He will leave for Wellington again to-night. Mr. A. Aitken, of Dunedin, who has been working on a tin-mine in Siam for the last three years, returned to New Zealand on leave by the Sussex, which arrived in Auckland on Saturday.
