DANCE PARTY FOR YOUNG FOLK Mrs. Norman Kidd, of Vincent Avenue, Remuera, gave a delightful little danco for her daughter’s young friends on Saturday evening. A charming gown of wistaria crepe de chine was worn by Mrs. Kidd to welcome her guests, and Miss Kidd was in a frock of powder blue crepe de chine. Miss Margaret Kidd’s frock was of pastel green taffeta, and Miss Pat Kidd wore a flower-patterned frock of crepe de chine. Among the guests' were: Miss Ethel Upton, who wore peach taffeta hemmed with opal blue. Miss Shera, in a frock of apricot shaded taffeta. Miss M. Hosking, wearing nasturtium georgette. Miss Peggy Upton, who wore blush pink taffeta. Miss G. Kingston, in a frock of black ring velvet, with diamante. Miss L. Mahon, who wore chartreuse green soft satin. Miss L. Rennick, in embossed gold panne velvet. Miss Buddie, wearing fuchsia coloured taffeta. Miss B. Dodd, in crocus mauve crepe de chine. Miss L. Milne, in a frock of beaded api-icot georgette. Miss M. Stevenson, who wore briar rose crepe de chine. Miss Pat Buddie, in primrose yellow taffeta. Miss J. Maxwell, wearing a frock of black chiffon velvet. Miss Ngaire Adams, who wore a bouffant frock of white taffeta. Miss B. Barry, in pampadour rose georgette. . Miss Garrett, wearing flamingo pink panne velvet. Miss M. TAMAKI BOATING CLUB SOCIAL AND DANCE A large number of members and friends of the Tamaki Boating Club attended a very enjoyable social and dance in the St. Andrew’s Hall, Station Road, Otahuhu, on Saturday evening. Deverill Bros.’ Orchestra provided a very enjoyable programme of dance music and extras were played by club members. The duties of M.Cwere carried out by Messrs. Harold Clark, J. Viney and Len Clark. Supper was served by the women’s committee, headed by Mesdames Clark and Rosewarne. Spot waltz and Monte Carlo waltz competitions added gaiety to the function. and musical items were supplied by Miss Clark. Mr. Scott and Mr. J. Nicholls. Keen interest was shown in a couple of games and competitions, which were held during the evening.
