y^ Tm R. H. Barber, of Feilding, arrived in Auckland this morning. A. Harris, M.F., returned from ■Wellington this morning by the Limited. Mr. J. A. M.P.. arrived fifom Wellington by the Limited, this morning. Dr. F. J. Rayner left on the Tofua to-day to make a round trip of the Pacific Islands. Mr. J. N. Massey, of Pukekohe, returned from Wellington by this morning’s Limited. Sir George Elliot returned to Auckland this morning by the Limited from Wellington. Professor R. M. Algie and Mrs. Algie will leave for the South Island tomorrow evening. Mr. Elliot Davis, who has been visiting Wellington, returned to Auckland this morning. The Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, arrived in Hamilton this morning by the Limited. Mr. G. S. Lynde, chief mechanical engineer, New Zealand Railways, returned to Wellington last evening. Mr. W. H. Wolilmann, Superintendent of Police, Auckland, returned this morning from a business trip to Wellington. Mr. W. McKenzie Jeffrey, general manager and engineer of the Hume Pipe Co., leaves to-day by the Tofua for a tour of the Fiji Islands. Mr. J. H. Millett, manager of A. M. Brodziack and Co., of Suva, and Mrs. Millett, who have been holidaying in Auckland, returned by the Tofua today. Mr. H. C. Thomas, of Sydney, manager for New Zealand of the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Films, arrived in Auckland this morning and is staying at the Central Hotel. The Rev. Charles Chandler leaves on Monday morning on his third lecture tour in the North Auckland district. He will be lecturing in the following towns: Maungaturoto, Ohaeawai, Pakaraka, Kaeo, Saies, Mangonui, Orura, Peria, Awanui, Kaitaia, Victoria Valley. He expects to return to Auckland on August 24.
