FOR TRIAL AT HAMILTON
BUCKLEY FACES SHOPBREAKING CHARGES THEFT OF CAR ADMITTED (From Our Otvn Correspondent) TAUMARUNUI, Friday. Further charges against John Leslie Buckley, who escaped from Mount Eden gaol recently, of breaking and entering and theft from the premises in Tauraarumii of the Sash and Door factory and the Farmers’ Auctioneering Company in July, were heard in the police Court this afternoon. The former charge was dismissed. On the charges relating to the Auctioneering Company, Buckley was committed for trial at Hamilton on August 28. A further charge was made against Buckley for stealing and converting to his own use a motor-car from Remuera, Auckland, which was found abandoned near Taumarunui. Accused pleaded guilty to this charge and was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment concurrent with his present sentence. __
