SAVIDAN AGAIN
WINS AUCKLAND CROSSCOUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP A solid test for Auckland's crosscountry athletes was provided at Hllerslie on Saturday, when a big field raced over the mile steeplechase course to decide the cross-country championship of Auckland. The championship was won by J. W. Savidan, Auckland’s champion longdistance runner, who returned fastest time, the handicap event being won by F. L. Whitten. ex-Grammar champion. Results: Five-mile Cross-Country Handicap.
