TENNIS DANCE
BIRKDALE CLUB The Buffalo Hall, Birkenhead, was a gay place on Saturday evening, when the Birkdale Tennis Club held its annual dance. In the ballroom streamers and confetti showered down like coloured rain and an effective decorative scheme had been daintily carried out.
The Syncopators provided excellent music and were generous in the response to the repeated call for mo.re. Mr. Pat McGovern officiated as M.C. The dancers included:—Miss F. Adkin, pale blue crepe *de chine. Miss D. Adkin, sea green satin and georgette. Miss Stokes, jade green georgette frock. Miss Moore, rose georgette, black shawl. Miss G. Cook, black ring velvet. Miss D. Casey, apple green taffeta. Miss R. McLeod, cream lace and leaf green trimming. Miss I-lawkins, white embossed georgette. Miss Brooks, pale pink georgette. Miss McGowan, salmon pink taffeta. Miss Lunny-j pale pink georgette and gold lace. Miss R. Schorman. cerise georgette. Miss M. Adkin, pale pink georgette. Miss Tothill, apricot crepe de chine and lace. Miss Atkinson, ivory crepe de chine. Miss F„ Swinburne, vellum crepe de chine. Miss D. Davis, lemon satin and gold lace. Mrs. Alexander, sunset georgette and fringe trimming. Miss Marshall, white satin crepe. Miss Bentley, saxe blue crepe de chine. Mrs. Kelly, junr., white georgette and silver lace. Miss P. Hayman, wine coloured ring velvet. Miss Wilkins, pink satin and mauve lace. Miss M. McPhail, eau de nil georgette. Mrs. Neecli. apricot taffeta frock. Mi’s. Garrett, jade lame and georgette. Mrs. Casey, coral figured satin. Mrs. Laver, bois de rose georgette. Mrs. L. Moller, vieux crepe de chine. Miss J. Overden, blue georgette and silver lace. Miss M. Overden, apricot crepe de chine. Mrs. W. Carson, navy embroidered crepe de chine. Miss M. Carson, red ring velvet, bl«> shawl. Miss T. Ward, duchess blue crepe de chine. Miss Donahue, white satin and scarlet posy.
