“THE GHOST TRAIN”
COMING TO THE LYRIC “The Ghost Train,” a mystery picture, adapted from Arnold Ridley’s stage success, has been produced with a great deal of artistry. There is some very remarkable and clever camera work in it, and a big thrill in a wonderfully realistic train wreck over an open swing bridge. The story is of a party of railway passengers, who are stranded at midnight in a remote railway station, with no decision but to stay until morning. The stationmaster informs them that the place is haunted, and tells them a hair-raising tale of a disaster which happened to the express there some years back, and of the subsequent supernatural appearances of the train and its driver. The party gets extremely nervous and many eerie things happen during the night, culminating in the arrival of an unscheduled train. This picture is coming to the Lyric Theatre next Thursday.
