“METROPOLIS” AT BRITANNIA

“Metropolis,” which is now being shown at the Britannia Theatre, is distinctly a picture that everyone* should see. It gets right away from the stereotyped film, and gives something different—something that stirs the imagination, and while playing on the emotions, at the same time makes the spectator ask if this is indeed whither the world is drifting. In the weird and almost terrifying setting of a great city of a hundred years hence as visualised in the imagination of the author, is enacted a romance as enchanting and gripping as any yet seen on the screen. A second attraction is provided in “The Law of the Range,” starring Lane Chandler.
