TRAINER Jack Shaw and his A chief assistant, Claud Fairman, leave for Wellington to-morrow night, en route for Addington, taking with them the pacers Jewel Pointer, Western King, Native Prince, and the trotter, Great Change. The quartet are in excellent condition, and when they step out at Christchurch nothing will have anything on them on this score. The Auckland mentoc should not return empty-handed.
