Obituary
MR. S. J. BOLTON
Mr. Samuel James Bolton, postmaster at Dannevirke for the last three and a-half years, has died at Dannevirke after a brief illness. Deceased took a keen interest in military matters, having been connected with the volunteers and Territorials for many years. He was a Lieut.-Colonel in the Army Pay Corps of the N.Z.E.F., serving at Gallipoli. Egypt, France, Germany and keeping the base records in England. He was the holder of the 0.8. E. Deceased was gassed while on active service. He leaves a widow, a son and a daughter.
