Six Thousand at Royal Garden Party

New Zealanders and Australians Preset!ted British Official Wireless.

RUGBY, Thursday. THE Royal Garden Party, at which, about 6,000 guests were present, including many from the British Dominions and the United States, as well as other overseas visitors, was held at Buckingham Palace this afternoon in ideal weather. The event is generally regarded as marking the termination of the London social season. The following were personally presented to their Majesties:— Australians.—Sir Matthew and Lady Nathan, Senator and Mrs. McLachlan, and Mr. C. E. Merrett. New Zealanders.—Lady Gunson, Major-General Sir George Richardson, and the Hon. -T. A. Hanan.
