Merchants report receipt of overseas cables as follow: Leonard and Son, Ltd., from their Tooley Street principal, A. C. Rowson, dated July 27: “Butter, 182 s; cheese, 190 s; markets easier.” Norden and Co., from their Lopden
principals, Andrew Clement and Sons, dated July 27: "New Zealand salted butter. lS2s (equivalent to Is 5.73 d f.0.b.); unsalted, ISSs; market dull; Danish butter. 172 s f.o.b. New Zealand cheese, white and coloured, 109 s (equivalent to 9.95 d f.0.b.); market quiet." A. H. Turnbull and Co., from their London prinicpals, W. Weddel and Co., Ltd., dated July 27: "Butter, Danish, lS2s to lS4s; New Zealand unsalted, 186 s to ISSs; salted, ISOs to lS4s: market quiet. New Zealand cheese, white and coloured, 109 s to 110 s; market quiet. Canadian, IOSs to 110 s." G. Paviour-Smith, from his London principals, the Anglo-Continental Produce Co., dated July 27: "Butter market quiet at lS2s; cheese, 109 sto 110 s." FEILDING STOCK SALE Press Association FEILDING, Friday. At the Feilding stock sale To-day there was a medium entry of sheep. All classes sold on a par with late rate's. Fat white face woolly lambs made 27s 6d to 31s 6d; fat shorn black face lambs, 24s 3d to 27s 7d; fat woolly black face lambs, 27s lOd: fat wethers, 35s 3d to 40s; fat ewes, 25s to 355; ewe lambs, 32s 2d to 3Ss; wether lambs, to 23s 6d; twotooth ewes, running with Southdown rams 44s 3d; four and five-year ewes, to 37s 6d; two-tooth to four-year ewes, 32s 9d. Fat cattle sold at late rates. Fat cows realised £5 4s to £7 17s; fat heifers, £6 12s 6d; fat steers, £7 5s to £D 6s; store cows, £2 13s to £4 10s; store heifers, £3 7s 6d to £4 17s 6d; springing heifers, £6 15s to £l2 ss; heifers, in milk, £9 10s; cows, in milk, £6 2s 6d.
