MINERS KILLED. Two men were killed by a fall of coal at the Pelawmain colliery, West Maitland, New South Wales. The victims were George Collett and James Gilmour. Rescuers recovered the bodies half an hour after the accident. The men had evidently been killed instantly. SANDINO FLEES. Rear-Admiral Sellers, commander of the Special Service Squadron, which was sent to Nicaragua, has reported to the American President, Mr. Coolidge, that practically all the Nicaraguan insurgents have surrendered. He says it is almost certain that General Sandino, leader of the rebels, has abandoned the country.—A.P.A.-U.S. MIGRATION CRITICISM. The Canadian Minister of Labour, Mr. Peter Heenan, referring to complaints in the British newspapers regarding the strictness of the Canadian immigration regulations, said to-day that apart from commonsense requirements concerning health and character there were no restrictions on British persons coming into Canada.—A.P.A.U.S.
