Forged Supply Orders. —At the Dunedin Police Court yesterday Henry Milton Bates pleaded guilty to forging orders for the supply of goods to the total value of £3O 10s. He was committed for sentence. Wounded Man Improving. —Air. W. Alorton, of Lansdown Road. Bayswater, who was accidentally wounded xvhile cleaning a pea-rifle on Sunday, is reported to be improving. Fall from Bicycle. —The condition of Mr. David Briggs, of Devonport, who was admitted to the Auckland Hospital on Sunday afternoon suffering from serious injuries to the head, as a result of a fall from a bicycle, was reported this afternoon to be unchanged. Child Knocked Down by Van.— Knocked down by a motor-van at Waihi yesterday, Douglas Henry, aged five, whose parents reside in Roycroft Street, Waihi, was admitted to the hospital, suffering from abrasions to the face and forehead, and with symptoms of internal injuries. His condition is not regarded as serious. Ex-soldier Collapses. —A waggon driver, Joseph Goroufsky, aged 50, single, expired suddenly in Alackav Street, Greymouth, yesterday. He was engaged unloading bales of hay, and after carrying one to a store he returned to the vehicle and collapsed. Deceased was a returned soldier and suffered from the effects of war service. —P.A. Man Breaks a Leg. —A young man named Norman White, aged 22 years, of Thackeray Street, Hamilton, jumped clear of the car when the front axle broke going down Mystery Gully, Rukuhia, about six miles south of Hamilton, last evening. The driver of the car was uninjured. White was admitted to the Waikato Hospital with a broken leg. Breaking and Entering Charge.— Charged at the Whangarei Alagistrate's Court yesterday morning with breaking and entering the shop of Albert Victor Wright, of Broadway, Kaikohe, and stealing goods 1:o the value of £9 IBs 7 id. Henare Trimana and Hemi Tamata Alahia were remanded to appear before Air. J. H. Luxford, S.AL, on July 23.
