TE AWAMUTU JERSEY CLUB
SUPPORT FOR GRADING PROPOSAL (From Our Own Correspondexit.) TE AWAMUTU, Saturday. The popularity of the Jersey was shown by the large and representative attendance at the annual meeting of the Te Awamutu Jersey Club. After an address by Mr. A. E. Missen, president of the New Zealand Jersey Breeders’ Association, on the proposed classification of all pedigree Jerseys in the Dominion by five competent judges, it was decided unanimously to support the proposal. It was stated that a breeder with one or more cows classified in one of the grades would have a valuable asset, more especially if his cow had a high butter-fat production. The election of officers resulted: Patrons, Messrs. G. M. A. Ahier and G. Spinley; president, Mr. G. S. Clarke; vice-presidents, Messrs. H. Allen and F. J. B. Ryburn; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. G. Wynyard; auditor, Mr. G. O. Jourdain; executive committee, Messrs. J. Bones, Stewart, A. Johnson, C. Parker, W. G. Macky, Seymour, G. W. Johnson, J. Me Ivor, B. G. Candy, C.
