SEAMEN ENTERTAINED

EMILY PLACE MISSION Members of the Navy League entertained seamen in port at the Missions to Seamen Institute in Emily Place on Monday evening. The programme was contributed by Miss Mandeno, assisted by Mrs. Speakman, Miss Roya Tilton, Master* Cyril Bakei', the Misses Mann, Mrs. Bethune, Master Rex Angus, Miss Frost and Mr. K. Iloldsworth. Refreshmeni w__cre served by Toe H members. - On Wednesday, St. Matthew’s Guild held a whist drive at the institute. The following evening, etentainment was provided by members of the Ladies’ Harbour Lights Guild. Important questions concerning the future of the mission were discussed at a meeting of the committee over which the primate, Archbishop Averill, presided. The chaplain, the Rev. H. K. Vickery, presented a i*eport.
