Following the notification of Marshal Chang Tso-lin’s death, his son declares that he will spend his father’s fortune of 10,000,000 dollars in promoting the advancement of education in the three Eastern provinces. He desires peace with the Nationalists on terms of equality, and in resuming foreign relations he desires the abrogation of unequal treaties. The deceased dictator's son succeeds his father as ruler of Manchuria.
