Written SOS times, old, £l, Mr. W. 11. .Taine, 33 Broadway, Newmarket. 4th, £l, Master Clifford Parris (15), Mt. Eden. sth, £l, Miss Sylvia Parris (16). Mt. Eden. 10/- each to Mrs. IT. It. Tyler, Mrs. A. Vaughan. Miss I. L. Innes, Mr. J. M. Barker, Mr. A. R. Tabuteau—all over 300. The prize-money has been increased to £l4 cash to provide extra prizes as follows:—£1 to Mr. Henry Clark. Ironmonger, Otahuhu. for the finest exhibition of penmanship (33S times), and 10/- each to the youngest successful juvenile competitors. Master Parris (15) 460 times, and Sylvia Parris (16) 396 times. Hundreds of other cards showed wonderful patience and care. Mr. 11. A. Clark’s card was of outstanding merit.
