DEATH IN HOSPITAL TO-DAY

Mr. Hector Park, who was crushed between a moving train and the Avondale station platform yesterday morning, died in the Auckland Hospital early to-day. Mr. Park was jumping on the end carriage as the train was pulling out, and slipped. The train crew did not notice him fall, and did not stop. He was picked up on the track a few minutes later by one of the porters. Mr. Park was a single man of 26, and lived at 18 Windsor Road, Avondale. He had no relatives in the Dominion.
