DAIRY COY. PROPOSALS PROVISION OF RESERVES (From Our Otcn Correspondent) CAMBRIDGE, Friday. Important proposals in connection with the administration of the affairs of the Cambridge Co-operative Dairy Company were turned down by the suppliers at an extraordinary general meeting held to-day. There was an attendance of over 100 suppliers and shareholders, the chairman, Mr. F. H. Anderson, presid-ng. The chairman brought forward the following notices of motion: (1) That out of the undistributed surpluses of the year ended March 31, 1927, for butter and cheese, approximating £2,500, £I,OOO be set aside as a reserve fund for the purchase of ordinary qualification shares from non-supply-ing shareholders at a price to be determined; (2) That a sum of £I,OOO be set aside for each of the four succeeding years to be applied in the same manner; (3) That the meeting consider a proposal made by the Whey Developments, Ltd., England, for the purchase of cheese whey produced by the company, and give effect to any decisions arrived at.
