PAPATOETOE TOPICS

RATEPAYERS’ WELFARE LEAGUE The question of the necessity of enforcing th© by-laws dealing with hawkers was fully discussed at the meeting of the Papatoetoe Welfare League on Thursday evening, and it was decided to ask the Town Board to rigidly enforce the by-law. A strong protest is to be forwarded to the board against th© spending of any money on the survey of the proposed pipe-line from the water shaft, or anything else concerning the water supply, except the work on the crossdrive until there is the assurance of a plentiful supply of water from that source. The board’s attention is to be drawn to the dilapidated condition of Kolmar Road, from Station Road to Wentworth Avenue, on the southern side, and it is to be asked to give this question its immediate attention.
