LORD TERRINGTON FACES FRAUD CHARGES SUM OF £70,000 INVOLVED (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian P.A.—United Service) LONDON, Saturday. The bankrupt solicitor. Lord Terrington, who has been ill in France, and who was extradited to England, arrived last evening at Folkestone from Boulogne. He walked briskly to a reserved compartment in the London train. He was accompanied by a doctor and two Scotland Yard detectives. The journey from Douai was accomplished in easy stages, with an interval for a luncheon of trout and champagne. There were two stops when Lord Terrington complained ol heart attacks. There was a great crowd when the train entered Victoria Station, but a police ruse was successful. Lord Terrington alighted at the end of the train and went by motor to Moore Lane police station, to which an infirmary is attached. Lord Terrington appeared this morning at the Mansion House Police Court on 21 charges of fraudulent conversion, involving £70,000, while acting as a solicitor. He looked well as he entered the Court, accompanied by Lady Terrington, a doctor and a nurse. After questions regarding his extradition from France he was remanded until April 30. Bail was refused, in spite of his counsel’s assertion that his health was precarious. Lord Terrington, who had been ill on the Continent for some months, when his creditors took proceedings in the Bankruptcy Court in connection with debts amounting to £420.000, was detained at Boulogne on March 19, 3 927. Lord Terrington was quietly married to Mrs. Humphrey at the British Consulate in Boulogne on July 28, l‘*27, before Mr, H. S. Bradbrook, The British ViceConsul. The bridegroom had been divorced by his first wife in May. 3 926. His present wife was the co-respondent in the case. She was married formerly to Air. William F. M. d. Humphrey, an officer in the Royal Air Force, who divorced her in December, 1926, citing Lin'd Tearing ton as co-respondent,
