GOOD CONDITIONS TITIRAMGI OPENING The Titirangi links of the Maungakiekie Golf Club were opened on Saturday. The best scores in the mixed foursome competition were: Mrs. R. M. Roberts and T. Pupuke Club A medal handicap was jjlayed by members of the Pupuke Golf Club on Saturday, the best cards being as follow: M. E. Thompson. 86 —14, 72; H. T. Gould, 92 —15, 77; H. F. Mmgay, 88 —10, 7S A C grade medal handicap for Mr. Gould’s trophy was also played, the best cards being as follow; S. R. Norris, 92 20, 72; B. O. Skeats, 100 —24, 76.’ Papakura Club The Papakura Golf Club held the official opening of its links for the season on Saturday. There was a large attendance, comprising 100 payers, and including members of the Otahuhu, Everslie, Pukekohe, and Waiuku Clubs. Mr. E. D. McLennan, M.P., declared the links open for play, and Miss McLennan drove the first ball. A mixed foursomes match was held. This was won by Miss McLennan (Papakura) and Croxon (Otahuhu), with a net score of 45 for the 12 holes. Mrs. Hipkins and McDonald were runners-up with a net score of 47. The links were in satisfactory order, and the winners’ net" score was four under bogey. Miss O. Kay Again Press Association. . DUNEDIN, Sunday. Miss Kay won the Otago ladies’ golf championship by defeating Mrs. Dodgshun one up at the nineteenth hoie. Miss Kay recently won the Canterbury championship, defeating Mrs. Dodgshun in the final. Both are Dunedin players.
