“PRECARIOUS TRADE"
RENTAL CAR DIFFICULTIES YOUTHS’ LONG JOY RIDE “These rental car people run a precarious business, but they are entitled to protection,” said Chief-Detective Hammond at the Police Court to-day when two youths, aged 18, were charged with converting a motor-car valued at £3OO to their own use. Mr. Hammond said that the accused had rented a car in Auckland and driven to Thames. They pleaded not guilty and were remanded to appear to-morrow. Their names were suppressed in the meantime.
