•ADAM AND EVIL" In “Adam and Evil/’ now being ' shown at the Britannia Theatre, with J Lew Cody and Aileen Pringle in the , starring roles, the opening scene re- j veals a young couple reading the morning paper, and paying no attention whatsoever to each other until they discover the news is broken over into i a section in the possession of the other. The story is a roaring farcecomedy, in which has been woven a great deal more truth than fiction in the lives of bored Lew Cody husbands and wives. The second feature on the pro- , gramme is “Stark Love,” a pioneering ■ picture. His girl the newly-wed wife of his father! That is one of the dramatic situations found in “Stark Love,” which is a thrilling tale of life in the Great Smoky Mountains. hundreds of miles from what we call civilisation, when one woman die*', another is immediately needed to step 1 into her place.
