In the Methodist Church appointments for 1928, the following are the changes proposed in the first; draft, the names of ministers transferred being shown in parentheses: Auckland Central: Rev. H. H. Raynor (Rev. F. Greenwood). Pukekohe: Rev. H. L. Fiebig (Rev. F. T. Harris). Waiuku: Rev. W. S. Neal (Rev. C. H. Keriden). Whangaroa: One wanted (Rev. H. S. Kings). CONFERENCE CONTINUED CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. Press Association. After lengthy discussion by the Methodist Conference on a proposal that the General Secretary of the Young People's Department, the Rev. E. P. Blamires, should attend the World’s Sunday School Convention at Los Angeles in July, Mr. Blamires was granted permission to withdraw from the trip. The conference received a deputation from the New Zealand Alliance, which submitted a statement of its policy in connection with this year’s licensing poll. The deputation was received in committee.
