Lampe (Wanganui) and I. A. Seay (Canterbury), 6—l, S—s. In the final. D. G. France and R. H. Donovan (Wellington) beat A. L. France and A. E. Sandral (Wellington), 5—6, 7—9, 6—3, 6—l, 6—l. Women’s Singles.—ln the semi-finals Miss D. Howe (Wellington) beat Miss E. Travers (Wellington), 2—6, 6 —2, 6—3; Miss M. East (Wellington) beat Miss E. Brady (Wellington), 6—2, 6—2. Wheeler (Wellington), 6—2, 6—3. Handicap Event.—ln the final J. Neale (22), beat R. Howe (22), 60 —58. In the women's doubles handicap Misses E. Brady and D. Howe (scr.) beat Misses M. and Z. Castle (14), 50—47. AUCKLAND TOURNEY ENTRIES CLOSE TO-DAY The Auckland Lawn Tennis championship tournament will begin on Thursday aft 9 a.m., but competitors who are unable to be present in the morning of Thursday and Friday will be allowed to play after 4.30. The closing date for entries has been extended until to-day at 5 p.m. There is every likelihood of big entries and a high standard of play in the tournament, which has attracted not only Auckland’s best, but also stars of other provinces. The secretary is Mr. L. W. Swan, .Lister Building.
