FIGHT in hotel bar

INDIANS AND WHITE MEN EUROPEANS FINED A fight in the bar of an. hotel in the city on Saturday afternoon had its aeauel ip the Police Court this morning before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., when Jexander Murray (23) and Percy Collins (31) were charged with assaulting Lala Bara, Dayhyalhai Kabyanjee, and E. H. Pettet. The evidence showed that the three Indians were in the bar, when Marray struck one of them. The others came to his assistance, and there was s disturbance. Mr. Hall Skelton, for the defendants, said they had been provoked by one of the Indians expectorating on Murray’s foot. The magistrate said he thougnt the defendants were a little too hasty, and imposed a line of £ 1 each, with £ 1 costs.
