Aged 88, but the youngest-hearted passenger on the liner Ceremic from Liverpool, is William McGaul, a quarry-owner of Trefriw, North Wales, who said he was going to Australia because he has “a bit of a cold” and thinks the sea trip may buck him up. This is his seventh voyage to Australia sinee 1910. His relatives are very anxious about him, but McGaul only smiles and says: “I’ve got that schoolboy feeling. Fll be back in May.”—A. and N.Z.
