EVENING WEDDING

MURPHY—BURRELL Rose-pink georgette lightly embroidered with silver beads, was chosen for the delightful frock worn by Miss Audrey Drury, of Christchurch, when she followed Thelma, the only daughter of Mi-s. Burrell, of Remuera, down the aisle of St. Patrick’s Cathedral last Tuesday evening on the occasion of her marriage to Vernon, the younger son of the late Mr. J. T. Murphy and Mrs Murphy, of Blenheim. The marriage was performed by the Rev. Father Bradley, and the bride was given away by her uncle, Mr: L, Allan, of Christchurch. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Tom Murphy as best man and Mr. Jack Maloney as groomsman. Supple chiffon velvet of a delicate vellum tint fashioned the bride’s attiactive frock, and with it she had a veii of beautiful old Limerick lace that fell in misty folds of loveliness over her gown and formed a long train. Fragrant lilies and carnations composed her armlet. The chief bridesmaid wore a becoming picture hat of rose crinoline straw to match her dainty frock and had a scarf of tulle to tone. Her bouquet was of dahlias and sweet peas Miss Viva Murphy, sister of the bridegioom, wearing an attractive frock of turquoise blue georgette with a daintv w<^ ked in shining silver beads made another charming attendant.
