A NOVEL ENTERTAINMENT

TREASURE HUNT AND DANCE A novel entertainment in the form of a treasure hunt, followed by a dance, was given the guests of Mrs. Noel Adams on New Year’s Eve. After assembling at the Hotel Cargen and finding the first clue the seekers started off in cars to various parts of the city in search of further clues. The treasure of silk stockings and cigarettes was found in Mrs. W. B. Lloyd’s garden at Otahuhu. The winners were Miss Rutherford, Miss Lloyd, Mr. de Chair, Mr. V. Wheeler, and Commander O’Callaghan. After the hunt a delightful dance was given at the home of Mrs. Lloyd. The rooms were decorated with Chinese lanterns, flags and bowls of scarlet flowers. Mrs. Adams received her guests wearing a black silk-fringed frock and Mrs. Lloyd wore a frock of delphinium blue georgette and silver.
