Dodds and Mrs. Dodds were among the passengers on the Marama from Sydney. Dr. H. Evans and Mrs. Evans arrived by the Marama from Sydney yesterday. Mr. J. H. Hammond, K.C., and Mrs. Hammond arrived from Sydney yesterday by the Marama. The Rev. P. T. Mignot and Mrs. Miffnot were passengers by the Marama, from Sydney. * * a* Dr. F. M. Purchas and Mrs. Purchas arrived from Sydney this morning by the Marama. * • * Mrs. Xat Madison arrived from Sydney by the Marama, and will stay in Auckland with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. X. Alfred Nathan. The Rev. R. G. Coats and Mrs. Coats left for Dunedin on Monday evening for a holiday. Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ludbrook have taken up their residence in Dilworth Avenue. Mr. and Mrs. John Alexander motored to Taupo and Rotorua for the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Patterson and family are spending the holidays at Milford. Mrs. T. A. Milroy, of New Plymouth, is on a visit to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Macarthy Reid, who have been staying at the Hotel Cargen, are leaving for Rotorua to-day. * * * Mr. and Mrs. J. McGowan, Miss C. Jacobsen and Mrs. H. R. Ward, of Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Rodgers, of Tauranga, Mrs. E. King, Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Menzies, and Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Stallard, of Sydney, and Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Thompkin, of Dargaville, are at the Royal Hotel. Mrs. Morgan, wife of Captain Morgan, of the U.S.S. Coy., with her two children, was an arrival in Auckland on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Stead, of Hastings, who have been guests at the Hotel Cargen over the holidays, will leave to-day on their return to Hawke’s Bay. Mr. and Mrs. Macarthy Reid, of Wellington, who spent the holidays in Auckland at the Hotel Cargen, will leave on their return South to-day. Mr. H. L. Tapley, M.P., ex-Mayor of Dunedin, has arranged to leave Auckland on February 14 by the Aoran 6 j for Vancouver. From there he wi’.l proceed on a pleasure and business trip to England, and will be absent from New Zealand for about five months. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Craig are spending a few weeks at Rotorua and the Waitomo Caves.
