DEEP SEA FISHING

MAKO AND KING FISH Mr. Howard Young, of Boston, who is spending a holiday at Otehei Bay, landed a fine specimen of a mako shark weighing no fewer than 4061 b. This fish was caught off Cape Brett and kept the angler busy for 40 minutes before it was safely landed aboard the launch Otehei. This is - Mr. Howard Young’s first fish caught on rod and line and he intends having the jaw preserved and will take it to America with him. Mr. Otto Sommers, of Leipzic, while fishing from the launch Mannaki, landed a kingfish 561 b in weight.
