FIREWORKS DISPLAY

A FINE EXHIBITION An exceptionally fine display of fireworks was given by the Imperial Fireworks Display Company at Alexandra Park last evening. This class of entertainment is rarely seen in Auckland, and with the fine weather conditions prevailing a spectacular exhibition was given. The programme was very comprehensive, and Included many of the latest novelties. In addition to brilliant rockets, shells and other aerial novelties, was a variety of set and mechanical pieces, including fountains, rainbow wheels, and a dazzling double chromatrope in which two large pieces revolved in opposite directions simultaneously. An excellent concert programme was given by the Onehunga Municipal Band during the evening.
