MARINE’S DEATH

XMAS FATALITY A verdict of accidental death was returned to-day at the inquest on William Hill Woodruff, aged 25, a marine, who died from injuries received when he fell from the gangway of H.M.S. Diomede on Christmas Day. Evidence was given as to the safety of the gangway. It was also stated that Woodruff was sober at the time of the accident.
