STAR OF BETHLEHEM?

SKJELLERUP COMET THEORY DISCUSSION IN AMERICA By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. CHICAGO, Saturday. A theory which originated at the Harvard University Observatory, that the comet Skjellerup majr have been the original Star of Bethlehem, was discussed by Professor Frost, director of the Yerkes Observatory, Wisconsin. Professor Frost said a great deal had been written about the Star of Bethlehem for hundreds of years. Skjellerup may have been that star, or it may have been any particularly bright star, such as .Venus. Again, it might have been a comet that has never reappeared; and still again it might have been a comet that has never been seen on this side of the world and might never been seen. “There never will be any scientific determination of the famous star In the Bible,” said Professor Frost. “Skjellerup, however, has gone as far north as it Is going. We obtained photographs of it, but not very good ones. It will be more visible .on the other side of the world.”—A. and N.Z*
